Palos Verdes Stables offers a comprehensive equestrian program catering to every discipline of riding and any experience level and describes itself as a premier equestrian facility offering complete excellence for horse and rider. Summer and Holiday Riding Camps provide children the opportunity to experience the horse world in a safe, fun and hands-on environment, and camps educate young riders in the basic principles of horse care, teamwork and riding fundamentals. Campers’ self-confidence grows as they become more knowledgeable and comfortable around the horses, and experienced and energetic counselors provide close supervision, instruction and encouragement for each camper. Camps are available throughout the summer, are very popular, and have limited space, and camps are limited in size and spots will fill fast so booking early is recommended.

The Stables was established in 1926 and recently underwent a complete renovation, including three new arenas with new fencing and footing, a main jumping arena with world class GGT footing, three barns accommodating 50 horses, three turnouts, and new cross ties and wash racks with warm water. Family and friends can observe lessons from a shaded gazebo between the two main rings, and parents and kids can use a recreation room which includes a television. All ages and levels are welcome at Palos Verdes Stables, and all riding and training disciplines and age groups are catered to, from very young inexperienced beginners to high level competition.

The leadership team includes Stable Concessionaire Megan Padilla; English Training Program leaders Michael and Christa Endicott and Paige Dendiu; Western Trainer Lori Deutchman; and Dressage Trainer Stacey Wakaki. Attire requirements include boots and long pants, with no shorts or open toed shoes allowed, and riding helmets can be provided. Families are asked to pack water and lunch for campers.
