Summer and Holiday Riding Camps at Palos Verdes Stables are described as providing children the opportunity to experience the horse world in a safe, fun and hands-on environment. The camps educate young riders in the basic principles of horse care, teamwork and riding fundamentals, and campers learn horse safety, proper horsemanship and basic riding skills. According to the program description, campers’ self-confidence grows as they become more knowledgeable and comfortable around the horses, and experienced and energetic counselors provide close supervision, instruction and encouragement for each camper. Camps are available throughout the summer, are very popular, are limited in size, and spots are expected to fill fast, so early booking is recommended. All levels of riders ages 6–12 are welcome.

Palos Verdes Stables offers a comprehensive equestrian program that caters to every discipline of riding and any experience level, with all ages and levels welcome. All riding and training disciplines and age groups are catered to, from very young inexperienced beginners to high level competition. The Stables hosts some of the most prominent equestrian trainers in Southern California and was established in 1926. The leadership team includes Stable Concessionaire Megan Padilla; English Training Program leaders Michael and Christa Endicott and Paige Dendiu; Western Trainer Lori Deutchman; and Dressage Trainer Stacey Wakaki. Palos Verdes Stables describes itself as a premier equestrian facility offering complete excellence for horse and rider.

The facility has undergone a complete renovation and includes three new arenas with all new fencing and footing, with the main jumping arena featuring world class GGT footing. Three new barns accommodate 50 horses, and the facility includes three turnouts, new cross ties, and wash racks with warm water. Family and friends can observe lessons from a shaded gazebo between the two main rings. There is a first-class tack room equipped with a washer and dryer, and a recreation room that includes a television. The program notes that whether a rider is 3 years old and just learning to ride or a seasoned veteran, they can use the facility, training, and professional culture that Palos Verdes Stables provides.

For equipment and logistics, boots and long pants are required, and riding helmets can be provided. Shorts and open-toed shoes are not allowed, and families are asked to pack water and lunch.
